I’m a California native who has lived throughout the US, and in the Northeast for 15 years. I've been a writer for most of life, then started drawing in 2013 and haven't stopped. I teach a little, draw a lot, write some, and do all manner of editing-related work—currently I'm the production manager for Orion magazine—to support my art and writing habits.
Laura Didyk's writing has been published in Diagram, Post Road, Alligator Juniper, Fence, Hayden's Ferry Review, The Sun, and other magazines. Her visual art has been printed in Orion magazine, No Tokens magazine, Artful Mind, and Your Idea Starts Here (a book on creative process).
Laura received her MFA in creative writing from the University of Alabama, her BA in the same at Prescott College in Arizona, and has been a resident writing fellow at Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She writes, teaches, and makes art in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
